Kato Kohe Shoten is a specialty store of urushi and tools for lacquering. You can purchase bespoke urushi refined in our factory. You can also find a wide range of material and tool for lacquering including various wood body. Please don't hesitate to contact us for any question.

Major client include manufacturer of lacquerware, school of fine art, research institute, and artist. Our lacquering class is lively with many people enjoying lacquering as a hobby.

As we welcome many foreign visitors everyday, we feel that it is our mission to provide excellent urushi and introduce Japanese traditional handicraft.

Wood body: Various shapes such as plate, bowl, multi-tiered food box carved from Japanese horse chestnut and katsura tree. Limited quantity, special price.
